Security guard services only work when they fit the site. SecureOne holds a direct Michigan license, and every Michigan account starts with a conversation about your property, your history and your budget, followed by a plan written for that location.
Armed and unarmed security officers
Most Michigan properties are well served by unarmed officers who know the post: who is expected at the front desk, which doors should be locked at what time, and what to do when something does not look right. An armed officer makes sense when a site handles cash or high-value goods, when there is a credible threat, or when past incidents have involved weapons or violence. During the consultation we will tell you which one your property actually needs.
Before an officer works your site alone, they complete state-mandated training and training specific to your property, and a field supervisor works alongside them until they are ready. SecureOne hires officers with prior military, law enforcement or security experience, and our officers are First Aid and CPR certified.
Mobile patrol services
A patrol gives you a visible security presence without paying for a full-time post. Our patrol officers make scheduled or random checks, lock and unlock buildings, inspect doors, lots and fence lines, and respond to alarms. Patrol vehicles are tracked in real time through GPS Insight with in-car 360-degree cameras, and the patrol report is sent to you by email every day.
Mobile camera trailers
For construction sites, commercial properties and real estate, SecureOne's solar-powered mobile camera trailers provide 24/7 remote monitoring. They offer live camera monitoring, motion-activated alerts, pan-tilt-zoom cameras and talk-down audio through an onboard speaker, with an onboard backup power system.
Off-duty police officers
Some sites and events call for a sworn presence. SecureOne's law enforcement team is made up of licensed off-duty and recently retired police officers in good standing, vetted through background checks, trained in SecureOne's force policies and certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.
Event and short-term security
For a single event, a short project or an urgent need, we supply armed and unarmed officers on short notice and plan the coverage with you ahead of time. In 2019 alone, SecureOne provided more than 80,000 manhours of short-term and event security.
Security by industry in Michigan
Corporate offices and commercial property
Office buildings, business parks and corporate campuses use our officers for lobby security, visitor check-in, employee escorts, lock-up and unlock, and vacant suite inspections.
Manufacturing, warehouse and trucking
At plants, warehouses, distribution centers and transportation yards, officers control the gate and the dock, check in drivers and trailers, keep visitor and vehicle logs, and patrol the yard after hours.
Construction sites
Jobsites face theft of materials and equipment, trespassing and the liability that comes with it. SecureOne's construction security services combine stationary and roving officers with remote monitoring, for long-term coverage or temporary security on a single site.
Retail
Our retail security officers are trained to be good ambassadors for your brand while they deter theft, vandalism, trespassing and car break-ins. When a problem happens, they de-escalate and call the police; they do not chase people.
Multifamily and residential communities
Apartment communities and homeowners associations use patrols, posted officers and compliance checks to give residents a consistent, professional presence.
